Location for Dragon*Con
Got the official word from Dragon*Con. The Firefly Cargo Bay booth will be located in the Dealers' room (basement of the Marriott Marquis- keep taking the escalators down until you can't go down anymore!) in ASILE E (tables #27 and 28, but look for the banner with the FFCB logo on it- it will be easier)

What a Year!
Whew! It's been non stop all year-- which is AWESOME!
The orders have been steady and the shows have been fantastic and ... well, we're still flyin'! Thank you all you shiny Browncoats!
I haven't had too much time to breathe but some things have been updated around here. Did you notice the buttons on the product page? Oh I'm having so much fun with them! At shows I now have over 130 designs on the Firefly Cargo Bay table. I really need to stop, I think.... NAH!
There are more new shinys that haven't quite made it in the shop yet. The QMx firefly keychains for example. But there is no time! Gotta get ready for Dragon*Con SQUEE! No official booth location yet, but soon..soon.
IN the meantime, keep checking the Blog of a Brownish Color, as I do tend to update there more than here. But even then not enough!
Need. More. Time.
*sigh*

Going Postal
Since September all FFCB shipments seem to go to a bulk processing post office in New Jersey (I know this because we had a long heated discussion about these policies with Canada Post recently). There it can sit until they damn well please. Seriously. Both countries' post offices say to us, "It's Customs, they can do whatever they want." Are you friggin' kidding me??!?!?
I do not know what I want to finally do about all this at this point, but I am telling you it all because I want to let you know I am aware of the crappy situation. I am not happy about it in the least and I am working to rectify it. *Sigh* How come it never goes smooth?
All details and updates can be tracked at The Blog of a Brownish Color

Heading to Geek Mecca
Ni Hao!
Once again the time is upon us to gather in our geekiness and head to Atlanta. Yes, it's Dragon*Con time once again! *SQUEE!*
Firefly Cargo Bay will be there with not one but two tables this year in the BASEMENT of the Marriott Marquis hotel in aisle G. Come see our little corner of the 'Verse and check out all the new shinys that are being previewed there. If nothing else- stop by for some free Kaylee Strawberry candies! (While supplies last of course!)
Many new pretties will be for sale not only for fans of Firefly but other fandoms as well (yes, really, there are other fandoms out there! Hard to believe, I know, but true.)
So come on out Browncoats! And bring your scifi friends! It's going to be a great Labor Day weekend in Geek Mecca!
(Full post con report will appear on the Blog of a Brownish Color when I return.)

We're Official!
I'm thrilled to announce that Firefly Cargo Bay is now an official QMx retailer! This means that you will begin to see some of those shiny QMx products here in the secret stash and at the Firefly Cargo Bay booths at cons out in the 'Verse!
The first product available here is Marian Call's new cd, "Got to Fly". This is a great album of Firefly and BSG related songs for all us Browncoats and other geeks. I was fortunate enough to hear a performance and meet Marian at Conflikt 2. I can tell you that this is a must have album for Browncoats- and that she truly is one of us! You'll find "Got to Fly" on the bottom of the products page.
Keep checking back to see what other new QMx products are being added here in the secret stash- plus what exclusive items are up and coming as well.

No Longer CONFLIKTed
Conflikt 2 was a very fun and positive weekend. FFCB did pretty much what was expected, so a return trip next year is not out of the picture in the least. ('Specially since the GoH is Tom Smith!)

Psssttt....
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I'm only taking a small amount of your computer time this entry to thank you for all your interest and support of this and my cafe press Firefly Cargo Bay web shop. It's Browncoats that keep us flying and make that signal go a little bit further.
I'll be back to ramble on in January about all the comings and goings at FFCB, but for now, just a simple, heartfelt...
xie-xie!
Best Wishes to you and yours all throughout 2009

THEY'RE HERE!
The oh so shiny patches I have designed are now in the hold of the Cargo Bay! And not a moment too soon (if there is such a thing).
Both designs are fully embroidered and measure a big 3" in diameter. I think they're going to look very cunning on coats of brownish color!
Each patch is now on the bottom of the products page ready for orders. Although I have not sorted and labeled/packaged all shiny-like yet, I will send any out right away that are ordered. I believe there's a major gift giving holiday coming up or something....

SPACE MONKEYS ARE HERE!
Yes, that's right- there were monkeys. Some terrifying Space Monkeys got loose. And now they are in the Firefly Cargo Bay and ready to invade your personal part of the 'Verse.
Each set comes with a 6" tall rocket ship with opening top hatch and three different colored Space Monkeys. The Monkeys can be stored inside the "Ape-1" when not out causing havoc. All the little terrors are bendable and posable with magnetic ands and feet. They stick to the side of their ship, or anything else metal! Each Space Monkey is 3" tall.
The cost for the entire set is $18.00 plus shipping, and they will be available to send out into the 'Verse after October 12. The TERRIFYING SPACE MONKEYS can be found now at the bottom of the Products page

NEW SHINYS!
You've all been waiting so patiently, I know. And now that virtue is rewarded. New shinys are now in the secret stash of the Firefly Cargo Bay!
And shiny they are indeed! We now are proud to offer hand made bracelets by FanGirl of FanDone. She's put together 9 different pieces for each of the Big Damn Heroes. They are so very pretty.
Each item of jewelry has three charms that relate to the character and the bead color choices correlate as well.
Here's an image of one of them, but all of them can be found at the very bottom of the products page.
More rewards will be coming your way as well, with more new goods showing up in the web site soon. I'm not going to tell you what any of them are, but I'll give you three clues:
Terrifying.
Space.
Monkeys.

On To Dragon*Con!
Baring any more Alliance interference, the Firefly Cargo Bay booth will be fully stocked and ready for business at Dragon*Con! The show is in Atlanta Georgia as always and runs from Friday August 29 through Monday September 1, 2008.
If things go well, the Cargo Bay's stock should be pretty much depleted when we return. No worries though, I will be right back at it restocking the Bay with all the shinys you've come to expect. I hope to continue adding new items as well on a regular basis. Or semi regular basis because nothing ever goes according to the gorram plan!
All updates on the events and products and happenings of the Firefly Cargo Bay can be founf on the Blog of a Brownish Color: Firefly Cargo Blog
